They believe that their high quality people and team work set them apart from their competition. In 2006, Champlain Valley Equipment was recognized as Farm Equipment's Dealership of the Year. Carpenter purchased Knapp Farm Supply, an existing Ford Tractor Dealership, from Jack Knapp in Middlebury. Champlain Valley Equipment purchased Green Mountain tractor in 2001 and expanded its product offering dramatically. 2005 saw an expansion into Franklin County and the power sports business with the purchase of Fineline Equipment and Power Sports. The Derby Equipment purchase in 2008 expanded coverage into the Northeast Kingdom. Each store retains local presence and some local ownership while capitalizing on the advantages of a larger purchasing base. We pride ourselves on flexibility and versatility.
