HAY PRESERVATIVE APPLICATION SYSTEMS

Moisture management is critical to successful baling. If you bale when your hay is too wet, you get spoilage from excess moisture. If it’s too dry, you get higher leaf loss, which means lower nutrient levels and lower profits. Striking the right balance isn’t just an art. Science can lend a hand, too. Take control of moisture with hay preservatives and applicator systems from CNH Industrial.

ThirtyPlus™ & CropSaver™

Our hay preservative treatments — Case IH ThirtyPlus™ and New Holland CropSaver™ — are specifically formulated to prevent valuable hay crops from spoiling. Effective on all types of hay, including alfalfa and grass, these treatments help you yield more tonnage with higher relative feed value.

● Safe for Livestock:

Propionic acid, the main ingredient in our treatments, is an organic acid occurring naturally in a horse’s gastrointestinal tract. In ruminants, propionic acid is produced by rumen bacteria and is beneficial to the digestive process.

● Safe on Equipment:

Our hay preservatives are gentle on your baler with a pH of 6.0 that’s as neutral as rainwater yet as effective as straight propionic acid.

● Maximum Productivity:

When paired with approved CNH Industrial applicators at the recommended application rates, they maximize hay baling productivity.

Make Better Hay

Good moisture management requires good equipment. Our automatic applicator systems accurately read moisture percentages in real time, adjusting application rates every three seconds to match hay conditions.

● For large square balers, our automatic systems use star wheel sensors that mount on the top of the bale chute. They read moisture from 6% to 70%.

● For round balers, our automatic systems use two sensing discs, one for each of the baler’s sidewalls. They read moisture from 6% to 60% on 300 and 600-Series Systems.

● For small square balers, our automatic systems use two star wheels that mount on the bottom of the bale chute. They read moisture from 8% to 32% on 300 and 600-Series Systems.

● Tanks and saddles for the systems are easy to install, operate and service. For added safety, they’re mounted out of the way of other baler operations.

No matter what baler you use, there’s a CNH Industrial applicator system for your machine. Make better hay with moisture management solutions from CNH Industrial.
